28th September 2016
CiR, Travel Retail's commercial development specialist, have finalised details of planned activity for 2017 and are excited to share their latest news with colleagues at October's TFWA World Exhibition.
From the company's successful Research division, plans will be shared on new consumer behaviour intelligence into the Border Store and Downtown business in key geographical locations. In addition, a significantly enhanced research plan with studies planned to understand the evolution in behaviour of key nationalities, a focus on key-category understanding and insight. CiR Managing Director, Garry Stasiulevicuis says, “We've been delighted with the volume of interest and uptake in all of our research and reporting services in the past year, and we've put together an ambitious plan for the coming year that will continue to satisfy the needs of our customers and the industry in bringing unparalleled intelligence and insight".
Spearheading the developments that the company will unveil are continued enhancements and enrichments to its renowned CiR Business Lounge service, the industry's primary intelligence hub.
Stasiulevicuis continues, “As the primary Business Intelligence tool in the marketplace, we are delighted with the success of our Business Lounge service. Since its launch in 2013 we have consistently developed and invested in the service, to create what exists today, the industry's most comprehensive intelligence tool. In addition, over that time we've accumulated more than three years of history to enable consistent tracking. In 2016 we've given the service a new look and feel to enhance its user-friendly and intuitive nature." The company has also made significant investments and enhancements to core components within the intelligence available, to meet customer demand and increase the breadth and depth of data coverage. Principle enhancements have been within the Passenger Statistics module, where users can access PAX intelligence ranging from nationality detail, to forecasting and time of day analysis, all within intuitive and user-friendly dashboards.
Stasiulevicuis continues, “We're excited to introduce our clients and colleagues to our expanded Global Traveller Statistics model, as we increase the power to include 550 departure airports. We've used the same proven methodology to combine PAX actuals from airports, Schedule data from airlines and the most wide-reaching booking data from the global ticket distribution systems. This will allow our users to interrogate the data to terminal level at an hourly basis, meaning hotspots and target audiences can be identified better than ever before". The company also advises that enhancements are being applied to the Monthly Forecast application to incorporate a new short cycle forecast, which encompasses a wide range of macro economic forecasts to deliver an effective model for travelling nationalities, airports, air corridors and routes.
"CiR Business Lounge is built upon CiR's proven track record of delivering growth to the channel" Stasiulevicuis explains, "therefore our service comes with an unparalleled understanding of the demands and needs of brand and retail operations. Across our business we are proud to provide analytical and reporting support that is enhanced by our knowledge of shopper marketing and proven category development understanding".
